Comparatives

Dear students, the comparative form is used when comparing two things and is usually followed by the word than.

Subject + verb ‘to be’ + comparative + than + object

Example:

The ball is smoother than the rock.
The car is faster than the bicycle.
The elephant is bigger than the mouse.
The sun is brighter than the moon.
The ocean is deeper than the lake.
